Lowe’s red vest associates will work alongside Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia to help neighbors in need
PHILADELPHIA, PA (NOVEMBER 25, 2025) – Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia announced today it has received an $85,000 grant from Lowe’s to help keep families safe, warm and dry this winter by funding 10 critical home repairs.
The funding supports Habitat Philadelphia’s efforts to make homes safer and healthier and keep families in the communities they love.
With the support of the grant, Habitat Philadelphia’s in-house carpenters and trusted subcontractors can serve more senior citizens, veterans and families who cannot perform or afford the repair on their own. The affiliate has completed more than 1,160 repairs since 2011.

They also added carbon monoxide and smoke detectors to every floor, providing crucial peace of mind.
The projects are part of Lowe’s commitment to deliver 10 million square feet of impact in communities nationwide this year by supporting 200 repair projects across the United States. Habitat Philadelphia is one of only 20 affiliates selected for this grant.
“We’re thrilled to have Lowe’s support to serve 10 more families through critical home repairs this year,” said Corinne O’Connell, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia. “Thank you for your partnership to preserve affordable homeownership in our city.”
Lowe’s continued partnership with Habitat for Humanity International supports home repair and preservation efforts in owner-occupied homes, helping neighbors safely remain in the homes they cherish. Since 2003, Lowe’s and Habitat have worked together to help more than 18,000 people build or improve a place to call home.
