Bring your company, team, organization, or school to Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia for a day of volunteering and fun.

Your group can make an important contribution to Habitat’s mission of building and repairing homes in partnership with families in need.

Groups can volunteer on our construction sites, at the ReStore, or in the Habitat Philadelphia warehouse on 19th Street. More information on each opportunity is below.

Team Build Warehouse Day

A one-of-a-kind volunteer day only offered by Habitat Philadelphia! Spend the day in Habitat’s warehouse on 19th Street drilling, operating the team’s chop saw, and building adirondack chairs from deck boards that are given to new Habitat Homeowners and community groups in Philadelphia. Looking for a chance to work with heavy duty tools while bonding with your team? A Team Build Warehouse day is for you!

Your Contribution: $7,500 premiere/$5,000 standard (group contributions explained)

Included in a standard Team Build Warehouse Day

-Group Size: 5-10 Volunteers
-When: Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 2:30  p.m.
-Volunteers commit to a full shift
Readily available shifts

Additionally Included in Premiere Team Build Warehouse Day

-Priority scheduling (within six weeks of request)
-Habitat Swag for all volunteers
-Habitat staff member present to share more about the organization
-Lunch provided

In addition to the hours spent volunteering, your group will learn woodworking skills, end the day with a finished project, and leave empowered after this unique opportunity!

Premiere Site Build Day

A Premiere Site Build Build Day is a turnkey volunteer opportunity on a construction site with limited availability. With a Premiere Site Build Day opportunity, your group can expect a hands-on experience, building new homes alongside our team and future Habitat Homeowners. No construction experience is necessary, as our Build Team will train your group on all tasks and ensure you are comfortable. You can expect to help with building, painting, insulation, etc.

Habitat Philadelphia is only able to offer three Premiere Site Build Day opportunities each year.

Your Contribution: $10,000 (group contributions explained)

Included in a Premiere Site Build Day

-Group Size: 10 volunteers
-When: Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:30  p.m.
-Volunteers commit to a full shift
-Priority scheduling (within six weeks of request)
-Habitat Swag for all volunteers
-Habitat Leadership Team member present to share more about the organization
-Future Habitat Homeowner present to share more about their experience (if available)
-Lunch provided

Site Build Day

A similar experience to a Premiere Site Build Day, this opportunity is based on availability. Your group can expect a hands-on experience, building new homes alongside our team. No construction experience is necessary, as our Build Team will train your group on all tasks and ensure you are comfortable. You can expect to help with building, painting, insulation, etc.

Your Contribution: $5,000 (group contributions explained)

Team Volunteering at the ReStore

Teams can volunteer at the ReStore!

All ReStore revenue goes towards future homebuilding projects — which means that volunteering at the Restore directly helps us raise money to build more Habitat houses! Volunteers help process, organize and stock donations, and build furniture to be sold. ReStore volunteer opportunities are often easier to schedule for groups looking to further Habitat’s mission.

Your Contribution: $2,500 (full day)/$1,250 (half-day) (group contributions explained)

-Group Size: 5-10 Volunteers
-When: Opportunities available Tuesday-Saturday
-Lunch provided for full-day volunteers
-Readily available shifts

Your contribution helps Habitat cover the costs incurred by your team of volunteers and pushes our affordable housing projects closer to completion.

Why do we ask your team to donate? On average, each Habitat house costs $200,000 to build, and each Home Repair project costs an average of $17,500. Individual and group contributions are our most important source of funding, and your donation helps us supply materials, training and supervision. Funds can be raised by individuals, companies, or through matching funds and other grants. We are happy to provide fundraising ideas.
