We work alongside volunteers throughout the year toward our vision of a city where everyone has a decent place to live, and we want your help – whatever your skill level is!

Returning volunteer? Welcome back!

New to Habitat? We can’t wait to work alongside you! After you sign up, we’ll schedule a virtual orientation that is required before volunteering with Habitat Philadelphia.

Volunteers work on our construction and repair sites when shifts are available. Volunteers also play a critical role at our ReStore and at our warehouse on 19th Street. You can sign up to help as much or as little as you want – the minimum commitment is just one full day.

There are limited construction and repair opportunities available now. If you’re a new volunteer you must complete this inquiry form. Returning volunteers can sign up for a shift here.  Individual construction and repair volunteer shifts occur Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm. We ask that all volunteers stay for the full work day.

ReStore opportunities are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 4 pm.

If you are looking to fulfill community service volunteer hours, all current opportunities are paused.

CONSTRUCTION & REPAIR

As volunteer with our Construction or Home Repair teams, you will work with skilled Habitat staff, future Habitat homeowners, and Philadelphia homeowners on a variety of homebuilding and home repair projects. We provide all of the training and tools you need for the job.

RESTORE

Volunteers at the ReStore help us organize inventory, provide customer service, and handle incoming donations. ReStore volunteering is a great way to help Habitat for Humanity, because all profits from the ReStore help build and repair homes in Philadelphia.

OTHER VOLUNTEER ROLES

Habitat welcomes volunteers for a mutually beneficial experience. If swinging a hammer isn’t your style, we welcome your help on committees, with administrative work at our office, as a photographer, and more.
