Kathryn Fernandez

Chief Development Officer

At Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia, Kathryn oversees the fundraising and long-term advancement of the organization.

Kathryn is a nonprofit professional who previously worked with regional, national, and international organizations in roles that utilized her expertise in organizational and resource development. At Habitat Philadelphia, Kathryn oversees the fundraising and long-term advancement of the organization and was named a Philadelphia Business Journal 40 Under 40 Honoree in 2022. Kathryn’s previous nonprofit work in the Philadelphia community includes Director of Development at Legacy Youth Tennis and Education, Associate Director with CCS, a nonprofit consulting service.

Kathryn is an independent consultant to local companies and nonprofits advising on various aspects of governance, management, and fundraising functions. Additionally, she speaks as a panelist and guest on similar topics in partnership with various local universities and nonprofits.

Kathryn serves on the Friends of Morris Park Board of Directors, with a commitment to preserve and steward this local 150-acre urban park. Kathryn received her MS in Nonprofit Leadership from the University Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice where she received the Richard J. Estes Global Citizenship Award and previously served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Belize.
