For more than 30 years, former First Lady Rosalynn Carter dedicated her voice, time and energy to building and advocating for affordable housing alongside Habitat for Humanity. In her honor, we dedicate these four new Habitat Homes.
Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia is excited to announce the development of Rosalynn’s Way, four newly constructed single-family homes on North 40th Street in West Philadelphia.
The homes will be 3-bedroom, 1.5 bath homes located between Reno and Brown Streets. The development includes one wheelchair accessible unit with a first-floor bedroom and a second full bath. All Habitat units are built to Energy Star standards, allowing four more Philadelphia families to have a safe, warm and dry place to call home.
Habitat’s unique Homeownership Program partners with first-time homebuyers who might not otherwise qualify for a traditional mortgage, opening doors of opportunity to build brighter futures for themselves and their families.
