Since 1985, Habitat Philadelphia has transformed lives by working alongside homeowners to build or repair a place they can call home. We know that Home WORKS for mental and physical health, education and opportunity, and economic equity and generational wealth.
The need for affordable housing is greater than ever, and your support is critical as Habitat Philadelphia continues to grow to meet this incredible need. Your support on Habitat Day of Giving goes directly to the areas of greatest need for our core programs: Homeownership, Home Repairs, and Neighborhood Revitalization.
- Habitat Philadelphia works alongside homeowners as a developer and lender. Since 1985, we have built and sold 260 affordable homes.
- The most affordable home is the one you’re already in. In 2023, Habitat Philadelphia completed more than 100 repairs, the most ever in a single year. By 2026, we will repair 200 homes per year.
- For nearly 10 years, Habitat Philadelphia has partnered with our neighbors in Sharswood to build, educate, and empower homeowners to shape their changing community for the better.

Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia Welcomes Home Six Families in Largest-Ever Simultaneous Dedication
On Saturday, August 26, six families proudly took the keys to their new homes in the largest-ever simultaneous home dedication in the history of Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia. The Page Street project is Habitat Philly’s fourth in the Diamond Park neighborhood (adjacent to Temple University), which now totals 27 homes completed since 2016.
