Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia invites you to join us each month as we take a deeper dive into some lesser-known parts of our work.
Each month, volunteers and other guests will have the opportunity for a behind the scenes look into the varied ways Habitat for Humanity is working to address the need for affordable housing in Philadelphia. You will have the opportunity to connect with others who are passionate about volunteering with Habitat Philadelphia while learning more about the work we do! You can ask questions and even have discussion with our local Habitat experts.
For February, we will be learning from longtime volunteer Sally Poliwoda about our annual bike and movement fundraiser, Move for Homes (formerly Ride for Homes). Sally will go through the history of this event, talk through some of the different ways it’s looked in the past, and unveil our new virtual initiative for 2021! Come learn about this amazing fundraiser, and we will need as much of you to be involved as possible to make it a success. When registration opens, you can sign up to move, tell friends and family about the event, and support us in other ways you’ll learn about during the session. We are so excited to share all of our hard work with you!
Please RSVP below to join us for this rare and unique opportunity to hear from one of our long term volunteers!
Please note that Lunch and Learns may not be used in place of a Volunteer Orientation.
