Homes Built by Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia
Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia will break ground this spring on 21 new homes to be constructed near 33rd and Oxford Streets. As a member of the local community, our promise is to be transparent throughout our build process and will share news, updates and resources here.
Check back often as this page will be updated throughout construction, and we look forward to welcoming 21 new, local families who will call this community HOME!
We will break ground on this project on April XX, 2022 at 9:00 AM. This is where we could include important build-related updates that could impact resident’s day-to-day. Examples include groundbreaking, crane on site, any street closures, etc.
6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Come network, win raffle and silent auction prizes, and learn more about Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia’s work in the community. This event is open to everyone and presented by Habitat Philadelphia’s Young Professionals group. Tickets are $25 and include drinks and light fare.
No matter who you are or where you come from, everyone deserves a decent place to live. People in Habitat’s Homeownership Program partner to build brighter futures for themselves and their families. We work with individuals who might not otherwise qualify for a traditional mortgage.
Homeownership ProgramHabitat for Humanity Philadelphia’s Home Repair programs build on Habitat’s traditional partnership model using affordable payment options, sweat equity, and volunteer labor to work alongside homeowners to maintain safety and security in their homes, make necessary critical repairs, or pay utility bills.

There are many other organizations across Philadelphia that may be able to help.
Before adding good neighbors, HFHP wants to be a good neighbor by giving you a preview of what to expect as building takes place, so that any impact along the way can be as minimal and manageable as possible.
If you have concerns during our construction process, please reach out to us at 215-765-6000 or pagestreet@habitatphiladelphia.org.

The land development process in the City can be challenging to navigate. We will be sharing opportunities to learn more through Habitat but please check out our partners at Jumpstart Philly and the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority/Land Bank.
Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia builds, rehabs, and repairs over 100 homes each year in the City of Philadelphia. While Habitat Philadelphia is a General Contractor that performs some work, we hire subcontractors who work with us across the spectrum of building projects working in new and existing building conditions that include occupied and non-occupied housing.
