Patty Johnston Joins Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia as Chief Financial Officer

PHILADELPHIA (March 2, 2026) – Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia recently welcomed Patty Johnston as Chief Financial Officer. Johnston joins Habitat Philadelphia’s leadership team and will provide financial strategy and oversight needed to ensure the organization can achieve its goals to build and preserve affordable housing and serve more families in our city.  

Johnston brings more than 19 years of experience in nonprofit accounting, financial leadership, and business operations to this role. Previously, as Associate at Your Part-Time Controller, LLC, she acted as fractional CFO for multiple nonprofit organizations, delivering strategic financial oversight, strengthening internal controls, and guiding teams through audits and compliance.  

Earlier in her career, Johnston held accounting positions with Comcast Corporation and various New Jersey charter schools. Over the years, she has built a reputation for analytical rigor, collaborative leadership, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Johnston earned a B.S. in Accounting from Rutgers University—Camden and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Pennsylvania. She is skilled in financial reporting, grant management, process improvement, and cross-functional team leadership, and is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of transparency and accountability.
