AmeriCorps and Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia

Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia hosts AmeriCorps members through the National Direct and VISTA programs. Positions are available on our construction site and in the office to help advance our mission.

Each year, Habitat Philadelphia welcomes a new group of AmeriCorps members who serve as team leaders, trainers, supervisors and ambassadors.  AmeriCorps members are an integral part of our team. 

Positions                   

We will host 3 National Direct and 1 VISTA members during the 2010-2011 term. These positions have already been filled for this service year.

The VISTA ReStore Development position and National Direct positions have been filled for the 2010-2011 service year. Please check back next year for new AmeriCorps position openings.

History

In 1994, Habitat for Humanity International and the AmeriCorps National Service Program entered into a partnership aimed at mobilizing more volunteers in the fight against poverty housing. Habitat Philadelphia has hosted AmeriCorps members since 1996.
