Habitat for Humanity began as a grass-roots effort, and thanks to the commitment of countless volunteers it's become a movement dedicated to providing safe, decent, affordable housing for families who lack adequate shelter. Volunteers are an essential piece of the Habitat solution: it's the three 'M's--money, materials and muscle--that sustain our work across Philadelphia and around the world. There are many ways to help, whatever your interests and skill level are.
Explore the "Get Involved" menu to your right for opportunities to help at Habitat Philadelphia!
And when you're done, take a look at our Flickr Photo Page to see volunteers at work on our projects across the city.
Habitat welcomes all volunteers.
Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, affordable place to live are welcome to help with the work, regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people. In short, Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need of decent housing regardless of race or religion.
